The latest fad in the U.K. is that in competition to the Coffee cafes such as Starbucks etc., there are now Tea cafes. This cashes in on the British predilection for the proverbial ‘cuppa.’ Seemingly we drink 150 million cups daily, which averages at three cups for every man, woman and child. The Tea cafes are stocked with every known brand of tea, as well as herbals, so that the selection is huge. But with up-to-date technology, the old five-minute ritual of making tea has been superseded by a twenty-five second brew, which apparently gives the same results. Though the technology changes, the thirst remains constant. When one thinks of it, whether it is coffee or tea, one really is paying for a cup of water. If only the population would come to a realisation that there is water that is free, the water of life that satisfies soul-thirst in time and eternity. Our Lord preached, “Whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst.” Come them without money and without price, and drink. |
