Did you know that every beat of your heart sends a supply of blood to almost all of your 75 trillion cells (except the cornea)? The heart sends blood through 96,000 kilometres of blood vessels, which, if laid end to end, would stretch almost two and a half times round the earth’s circumference. It pumps an amazing 7,200 litres of blood around the body each day, that’s enough to fill a small swimming pool, and continues to do so for up to 80 years or more. And did you know it beats a 100,000 times a day, that’s 36 million times a year! How can this be the result of evolution, which its advocates confess originated by accident? How can something produced accidentally, live so orderly and functionally? The organisation of our anatomy in design, contrivance and complication, testifies to the Creator’s genius. With the psalmist we can confess that we are “fearfully and wonderfully made.” Anatomy proves Theology! |
