The Bible teaches that it is God who causes it to rain on one city and not on another. It often amazes me that the UK is such a small country ,and yet the weather can vary from one region to another.

Snow has come early this year. Our area has only had a smattering so far, but the counties in the North and South East have had heavy downfalls. So much so that schools have been closed; air lines delayed or cancelled; cars abandoned, and articulated lorries jackknifed on main roads. In our locality life goes on as usual, whereas in other places, people cannot get to work, and have to spend their time tobogganing with their children. (What would you rather do?) !!

This reminds one that life and intentions can be changed and altered in a moment by outside forces. That demonstrates that the much vaunted free will of man is really a delusion. Snow falls silently and quickly overnight, and completely changes one’s plans and purposes for the next day. By an act of the weather our actions are changed and we are brought into new situations and decisions. The best laid plans of mice and men often go astray.
